LET'S GET CREATIVE

Hip Hip Hurray it's the school holidays!. Some of you might be attending a school holiday programe and other's will be at home. Making your own crafts is a wonderful way to spend time with your children, to see the joy on there faces once you have made that extra effort to make your own crafts is very special indeed.

Let's get started with making your own PAINT. Wowee I bet you didn't even think that was possible, but it is and its very simple to do.

You'll need

  • 1 cup of salt

  • 1 cup of plain flour

  • 1 cup of water

  • an assortment of different colored food coloring

Mix the salt, flour and water in a bowl. Separate the mix into 2 and add food coloring of your choice.

I have found the best way to use this paint is to do a finger painting.

PLAY DOUGH is every child's favorite thing to play with so why not make your own.

You'll need

  • 2 cups of plain flour

  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

  • 1/2 cup of salt

  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar

  • Up to 1.5 cups of boiling water

Mix flour, salt, oil and cream of tartar. Add boiling water  into dry ingredients. Stir until sticky, knead until smooth. You can also add to this mix, lemon zest, orange zest, rosemary or cinnamon, for a more natural play dough. If you want it to have color add the food coloring to the boiling water.

Wishing you all a very happy and creative holidays. Why not send me a picture of what you have created as I would love to see it!

Love and blessings

"Charley was brilliant. I so enjoyed the time being coached by Charley. Charley knew when to ask the right questions, when to dig a little deeper and when to challenge me. Her holistic approach to health and wellbeing was just what I needed and my whole family has benefited from the process"
